A Foodie’s Dream with a Stay At Madinat Jumeirah

Madinat Jumeirah is often described as a luxurious mini city within Dubai, and we completely understand why! You’ll find an entire network of idyllic waterways, ornate Arabian souks, and over a mile of gorgeous, private golden sands. What’s more, along this beachfront hotspot you’ll find a collection of luxurious, secluded hotels that serve up indulgent experiences.

The most mouth-watering of these has to be Jumeirah™ Flavours, the Dine Around concept found across all the Jumeirah properties.

While staying half board in the Madinat Jumeirah, you have access to dine at Jumeirah properties across other Dubai neighbourhoods. You can tuck into a hearty breakfast followed by a delicious lunch or dinner across 30 restaurants, lounges, and bars.

A feast of global flavours from celebrated chefs awaits you, whether you’re seeking an oceanfront feast, a whimsical afternoon tea, or comfort food that all the family can tuck into.

Even within the Madinat Jumeirah complex you’re spoilt for choice with a plethora of restaurants and eateries. Souk Madinat Jumeirah is home to rustic Italian food at Trattoria, Asian soul food at The Noodle House.

Moments from the beach, is the luxurious boutique retreat of Jumeirah Mina A’Salam. Head to the waterfront diner of Hanaaya, famous in Dubai for its long and lazy Friday brunches. Or try the vibrant, colourful world of Tortuga, which will uplift you with its authentic Mexican fare.

For an absolutely dreamy meal, discover the signature dining of Shimmers, where authentic Greek serving platters with calamari and tuna crudo, or barbecued octopus can be savoured right on the beach with a welcoming sea breeze.

If you’re in the mood for more Eastern flavours, then another signature dining option is Zheng He’s, located by a lagoon and boasting old-world charm with its classical Chinese dishes.

Within the palatial splendour of Jumeirah Al Qasr, inspired by One Thousand and One Nights, are a plethora of signature dining experiences, from Thai food at Pai Thai to refined coastal Italian cuisine at the romantic waterfront pier restaurant of Pierchic.

You can also tuck into elegant carnivorous delights at The Hide or be whisked away to the South of France at the chic French Riviera, while looking over Dubai’s shoreline.

"The Hide was one of my favourite restaurants I ate at during my visit to Dubai. It was some of the best quality steak I have ever had and the sides were delicious, especially the truffle mac n’ cheese. Additionally, the setting for the restaurant is stunningly decorated, with exposed brickwork and dark leather chairs inside and a beautiful terrace overlooking the waterway that stretches the length of the resort. I would recommend making a reservation, as it is an incredibly popular restaurant." David Johnson

For simpler meals, head to the foliage-inspired and lofty haven of Arboretum for both indoor and outdoor bites among the palms.

At the cool, contemporary beachside retreat of Jumeirah Al Naseem lies Summersalt Beach Club, located by the open waters and where you’ll find Mediterranean fusion flavours to the sound of live DJs.

We also love the all-day dining of The Palmery, where you can taste Arabic-infused and modern international cuisine, and Rockfish, a seafood restaurant that’s brilliantly inspired by the Italian coast.

What you won’t want to miss here, however, is the signature Peruvian-Nikkei fusion restaurant of Kayto, where you can try cool and delicate sushi and sashimi courses.

Outside of Madinat Jumeirah there’s even more choice. Right next door is Jumeirah Beach Hotel, where you can visit Dhow & Anchor, reminiscent of a modern British and sporty gastropub, Beachcombers for Pan Asian cuisine with sea views, Villa Beach for suave Italian cuisine, or the family-friendly Kitchen Connection, where you can observe your dishes being cooked at live cooking stations.

There’s also Fika, a health-conscious Swedish-style restaurant, that focuses on wholesome cuisine and is inspired by the Scandinavian concept of meeting up for a light bite and chit chat! Or watch the world go by with coffee and cake in Pearl Lounge.

For signature dining, it undoubtedly has to be the Bastion, a modern brasserie and grill that looks across to the iconic Burj Al Arab.

Within the lavish palace of Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah you can tuck into delicious traditional and authentic Lebanese fare at Al Nafoorah, or aromatic, spicy dishes at the North Indian restaurant, Amala, where you can eat like a regal Mughal with massive thali platters. Or discover the British smart-casual steakhouse, The Rib Room, and savour sustainable prime cuts and authentic cheeses.

For the ultimate brunch, head to Imperium, which has a range of international all-day cuisine. Nibble on wood-fired pizza and Mediterranean flavours in al fresco beach style at Plaj or enjoy a spot of afternoon tea within the Ottoman-themed Sultan’s Lounge. For super cool street style, venture to the food truck Delish at The Garden Grove.

A few of the Jumeirah™ Flavours signature dining experiences do incur a supplementary fee, but take it from us, it’s absolutely worth it. To ensure guests have a wonderful experience, all buffet restaurants have been transformed into carefully crafted à la carte restaurants, so you’re in for a real treat!

Tuck into Dubai’s most renowned Dine Around adventure during your next holiday at Madinat Jumeirah!
